Fascias & soffits across Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester & London
Replace damaged fascias and soffits before rot spreads. Quality uPVC or timber to protect roof edges and ventilation.
Fascias and soffits are the boards that close off the edge of your roof. The fascia carries the guttering and seals the ends of the rafters; the soffit boxes in the underside and lets the roof space breathe. They are easy to ignore precisely because they sit where you never look.
When they go, they take other things with them. Rot spreads back into the rafter ends, gutters sag because there is nothing solid to fix them to, and blocked or missing ventilation lets moisture build in the loft. Replacing them is a modest job; replacing rafter feet afterwards is not.

What the job covers
- Fascia and soffit replacement in uPVC or timber
- Removal of rotten boards and inspection of the rafter ends beneath
- Bargeboards and cladding renewed to match
- Correct eaves ventilation reinstated
- Guttering refitted or renewed at the same time where needed

Signs you need it
- Paint flaking or boards discoloured and soft to the touch
- Guttering sagging or pulling away from the roof edge
- Birds or wasps getting into the roof space at the eaves
- Visible gaps between the boards and the wall
- Condensation or musty air in the loft

Questions about fascias & soffits
uPVC or timber?
uPVC needs no repainting and is what most homeowners choose now. Timber suits period properties and conservation areas where the original detail matters, but it needs maintaining. We fit both and will tell you which makes sense for your property.
Do you replace the guttering at the same time?
Usually it makes sense to. The gutter has to come off to reach the fascia anyway, so if it is already tired, renewing both together costs less than doing them as two jobs.
What if the rafter ends underneath have rotted?
We will see them as soon as the old boards come off and we will show you before going further. Rotten rafter ends can usually be cut back and repaired rather than replaced wholesale, and we will price it before doing the work, not after.
