Roofing work, close up
Photographs from our own jobs first — tiled re-roofs, flat roofs, slate and leadwork — then reference images of every kind of work we carry out across Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
A note on these photographs. The ones marked Our work are from our own jobs. The rest are reference images of roofing work of the kind we carry out, chosen to show what each job involves — they are not photographs of specific customer projects, and we do not present other firms' work as our own. If you would like to see work in your area, ask when you call and we will talk you through it.
Before & after
What the work actually changes
Drag across each photo to compare. These four are illustrated examples of what each job fixes, not photographs of customer jobs, and each one is labelled so. We will add before-and-after photos from our own jobs here as they come in.

Slate re-roof
Slipped and missing slates, moss, a bitumen patch and failed flashing, against a full strip and re-slate with new lead at the chimney and new guttering.
About slate roofing

Moss removal
Moss holds water against the tile surface. Cleared by hand, the tiles are back to a surface that sheds rain instead of holding it.
About roof cleaning

Chimney repointing
Eroded joints, cracked flaunching and mastic-smeared lead, against fresh pointing, new flaunching around the pots and new stepped lead flashing.
About chimney repair

Fascias & guttering
Rotten timber fascia and a sagging, leaking gutter, against a new uPVC fascia, vented soffit and new guttering running true to its outlet.
About fascias & soffitsWhat you are looking at
Roofing photography tends to show finished roofs, which is the least informative part of the job. The interesting stage is underneath: the membrane, the battens, the way a valley is folded, whether the flashing was dressed into the brickwork or smeared over with mastic. Those are the things that decide whether a roof lasts five years or fifty.
So the gallery deliberately mixes both — completed slate and tile, and the stages in between where you can see how it was built. If you are weighing up quotes, these are the details worth asking any roofer about.
Want to see your own roof?
Every survey we do is free, carries no obligation, and includes a drone inspection. That gives you clear images of your own roof — including the parts you cannot see from the ground or safely reach by ladder — so you are looking at the actual condition rather than taking a roofer's word for it.
